Digital interpretation for monuments and heritage sites
You know the history. We help bring it online.
Where a monument or archaeological site project includes interpretation and public access, Dino Digital can scope and cost the digital element — mobile interpretation, QR points, maps and online storytelling — and provide a detailed quotation for the application.
Current funding round
Rounds, deadlines and priorities for the Community Monuments Fund are set by the relevant national and local authority bodies and change from year to year. We do not publish dates here.
Check the current Community Monuments Fund guidance
Applicants should check the current Community Monuments Fund guidance on heritagecouncil.ie and with their Local Authority heritage officer. Even when a round is closed, the scoping work below can be prepared in advance.
Digital work for monument and site projects
- Digital interpretation for a monument or site
- QR points at the site linking to mobile pages
- Mobile trails linking several sites together
- Site history written for a general audience
- Interactive maps of the monument and surroundings
- Historic images and archive photographs with context
- Audio interpretation and read-aloud options
- Online storytelling around the site's people and uses
- Visitor information — access, parking, safety, opening
- Physical panels linked to deeper digital content
Digital interpretation may form part of eligible projects depending on the scheme and the proposal.
How we work with your group
Your group and your archaeologist or conservation consultant lead the heritage work. We handle the digital layer: what visitors see on a phone at the site, and what the wider public sees online afterwards.
Tell us your project
Send us the outline and we will help turn it into a clearly scoped digital project with a detailed quotation you can attach to your funding application. We work with groups nationwide, and regularly with societies in Kilkenny, Laois, Carlow, Offaly, Kildare, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow.
Dino Digital is an independent digital heritage company and is not affiliated with the Heritage Council, any Local Authority or any grant-awarding organisation. Grant eligibility and funding decisions remain entirely with the funding organisation.
